Sharing his thoughts on the significance of the Lunar New Year newspaper donation activity, Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication-Education and Mass Mobilisation, and Chairman of the Viet Nam Journalists Association, said that every Lunar New Year, Nhan Dan Newspaper has a very fine tradition of donating about 40,000 copies of Tet issue to the armed forces, especially border and island officers and soldiers.

To date, the number of copies of Tet (Year of the Horse) issue has not even reached the full quantity, but Nhan Dan Newspaper has decided to dedicate the first issues (expected to be around 5,000 copies) to the Navy, those who, while the whole country is celebrating the Lunar New Year, are still guarding the country's airspace and seas, he noted.

This year, Nhan Dan Newspaper has named its Tet issue "Spring Takes Flight," both to summarise the many outstanding events and significant changes that the country experienced in 2025, and to look forward to 2026 and the next phase – a new era of growth, with the hope that the country will develop even more strongly, he said.

Representing the functional agencies of the Naval Command, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tu Hoa expressed joy and excitement at receiving the 2026 Lunar New Year issue from Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Affirming that these publications are an invaluable spiritual gift during the Lunar New Year, he said they would promptly be delivered to officers and soldiers stationed on remote islands in the coming days.
