The handover took place in the communes of M’Drak, Cu M’ta and Ea Rieng on December 31, with the participation of local authorities and community representatives.
The newly built houses were officially put into use ahead of the New Year 2026 and the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet), providing timely support for disadvantaged families.
Each of the five households received 50 million VND (about 1,900 USD) in financial assistance from PetroVietnam through Nhan Dan Newspaper to build their homes during 2025. The beneficiaries included families in M’Drak, Ea Rieng and Cu M’ta whose houses had been severely degraded for many years but who lacked the means to rebuild.
After more than five months of construction, and with additional contributions from the families themselves, the houses were completed to meet basic living standards. The new homes offer safe and stable accommodation, helping residents improve their quality of life.
At the handover ceremony, representatives of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front in the three communes expressed sincere thanks to Nhan Dan Newspaper and PetroVietnam for their support, which has helped local authorities accelerate efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing for poor households. They also called on local mass organisations to continue supporting livelihoods so that families can achieve sustainable poverty reduction.
The programme helps to spread the spirit of national solidarity, a long-standing and cherished value in Viet Nam’s development.
