Organised by the Hue City Federation of Labour, the “Tet sum vay” (Tet reunion) and Tet Fair programmes brought joy to nearly 2,500 union members through Tet gifts valued at a total of nearly 1.5 billion VND. On January 19, the Hue City Federation of Labour launched these events to mark Lunar New Year 2025.

The initiative highlights efforts by the local union to safeguard workers’ rights and improve their welfare, especially during Tet.

Beyond distributing essential goods and cash to workers, the Tet Fair provided discounted products (10–60% off) at 22 booths, aiming to ease the financial burden of Tet shopping.

Special attention was given to those in need, with 300 gift sets distributed directly, including 100 valued at 1.3 million VND each and 200 at 700,000 VND each. Additionally, eight families received support to build their homes, each valued at 40 million VND.

Programmes such as online Tet Fairs further expanded benefits to over 2,500 members, emphasising the Federation’s strong support.

Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, praised these efforts while urging unions to maintain their focus on supporting workers. He affirmed that such initiatives bring hope and happiness while empowering workers to contribute to the city’s socio-economic growth in the coming year.
