Under the theme “One Destination, Three Exhibitions”, the event runs from October 13 to 15, bringing together more than 300 businesses and brands from over 20 countries and territories. For the first time, three large-scale international exhibitions covering key industrial sectors, including — precision engineering and manufacturing, electronics and semiconductors, and processing and packaging technology — are being held together in the same venue.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ian Roberts, Informa Markets’ Senior Vice President for Asia, emphasised that the organisation of three events together reflected the increasingly close links between different sectors in modern manufacturing. Precision engineering provides machining equipment, electronics and semiconductors supply smart solutions, while packaging technology helps prepare finished products for market. The event creates a comprehensive business platform for manufacturers, particularly those in the northern key economic region.
Chu Viet Cuong, representing the Industrial Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, praised the event’s cross-sector connectivity model. Establishing an ecosystem that facilitates direct business-to-business (B2B) connections will help Vietnamese enterprises, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting-industry businesses, gain access to advanced technologies. It will also encourage them to move beyond contract manufacturing towards greater self-reliance, increase localisation rates and participate more deeply in global value chains, in line with the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 929/QD-TTg.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13), the Ministry of Industry and Trade representative also extended congratulations to the business community, expressing the hope that the exhibitions would promote more cooperation agreements, investment projects, and programmes to develop high-quality domestic suppliers.
During the three-day event, alongside displays of machinery and new technologies, the organisers, in coordination with the Ha Noi Supporting Industries Business Association (HANSIBA), the Viet Nam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI) and the Viet Nam Automation Association (VAA), will hold a series of specialised forums on supporting-industry development, automation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in smart factories.
