Lauding socio-economic achievements made by the provincial Party Organisation, authorities, businesses and residents, Lam underlined the local potential and advantages, particularly its strategic transportation links connecting the North-South and East-West corridors. Quang Tri also holds ample potential for energy development, especially in the realm of clean energy, and boasts favourable land conditions ripe for industrial development.

However, acknowledging the challenges posed by climate change, natural disasters, and increasing competition, Lam stressed the need for a robust, streamlined and efficient political system to navigate them.

Investing substantially in education, health care and culture is essential, he asserted, underlining the importance of nurturing well-rounded individuals who can propel national development in this new era.

Underscoring poverty reduction as a major political task, he urged the province to prioritise the well-being of war veterans, integrate sustainable poverty reduction goals into local development schemes, focus on vocational training, job creation, preferential loans for low-income households, and replicate effective poverty alleviation models.

The Office of the Party Central Committee was tasked with collecting the province's proposals to ensure comprehensive support for its growth.

Lam concluded the session with a heartfelt wish for the provincial Party Organisation, authorities and citizens to uphold their tradition of solidarity and successfully fulfill the goals set forth by the 17th provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure.

Later that afternoon, Lam and his delegation visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded soldiers and families of policy beneficiaries.
