With the theme "Uncertain Times, Unsettled Lives: Shaping our Future in a Transforming World", the Human Development Report 2021-2022, published by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), shows the world's setbacks. This is an alarm bell about the great challenges being faced as the world is caught up in a spiral of crisis with increasing levels of severity.

In addition to making use of existing resources and ensuring cost-effectiveness, UNDP should be creative in finding ways to mobilise resources from stakeholders, including the private sector, to implement development programmes, proposed Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN.
