Speaking at the meeting, VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong said VCCI has gathered a large community of more than 200,000 members including corporations, public and private enterprises and nearly 200 business associations.
The report of VCCI on business activities shows that as of December 31, 2021, there are nearly 856,000 enterprises operating throughout the entire country.
Speaking at the session, NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai acknowledged and praised VCCI’s efforts and important contributions to the renewal and development of the business community, businesses and the national economy.
He suggested that VCCI continue to accompany Vietnamese entrepreneurs and businesses, and successfully perform the role of a bridge with the business community to improve their competitiveness for sustainable development and successful international integration, while actively and effectively contributing to the implementation of the country’s socio-economic development goals.
He also urged VCCI to implement the role of representatives of the business community, business associations, entrepreneurs and employers in Vietnam, actively participating in law-making, and creating a favourable business environment.
