The event was jointly organised by The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Central Committee of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association.

This conference was part of a series of events that the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association are carrying out in 2023, aiming at commemorating the 10th anniversary of the two countries establishing a strategic partnership (2013- 2023).

The Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership is increasingly developing in all areas of cooperation, such as economics, culture, tourism, education, defence, security and foreign affairs.

With a close geographical location and many similarities in customs and foreign policies, Vietnam and Thailand have favourable conditions to develop bilateral, multilateral and regional relations.

In 2023, the two countries celebrated the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1976-2023) and 10 years of a strategic partnership (2013-2023). This is an important foundation that creates momentum to bring the growing friendship and cooperation between the two countries to new heights.
