Vietnam earn one more Vovinam gold at SEA Games 32

Vietnamese Vovinam artists secured a gold medal in the women's multiple training event, where one person defends against three others with a weapon, at the ongoing 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on May 9 morning.

Lam Thi Thuy My, Le Toan Trung, Doan Hoang Tham and Lam Tri Linh earned the first place with a total score of 272. Hosts Cambodia and Indonesia came in second and third, respectively.

Meanwhile, their teammates Lam Thi Loi and Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai won a silver medal in the women's pair sword event, with a total score of 267, three points lower than Cambodia which won the gold medal.

Concluding the third competition day of the Games on May 8, Vietnam ranked second in the medal table with 30 gold, 28 silver, and 36 bronze medals. Cambodia topped the tally with 37 golds.

SEA Games 32 is taking place from May 5-17 in Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh and four other localities - Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep.
