Vietnam, Liechtenstein bolster bilateral ties

The Hereditary Prince Alois of the Principality of Liechtenstein wishes to bolster bilateral relations with Vietnam and urges the signing of a free trade agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the European Economic Area (EEA) which includes Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.

The prince made the statement during his reception on April 27 in Vaduz Castle for Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Hai Bang, who was there to present his letter of credentials.

The prince applauded the ambassador’s tenure in the principality and sent his greetings to President Tran Dai Quang as well as other new leaders of Vietnam.

The ambassador conveyed President Tran Dai Quang’s compliments to Prince Hans-Adam II and Hereditary Prince Alois.

The diplomat expressed his hope that Vietnam would become an attractive destination for investors and tourists from the principality.

On the occasion, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Culture of Liechtenstein Aurelia Frick invited Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh to visit the principality and proposed the two nations strengthen collaboration in United Nations’ forums.
