Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation awarded Labour Order

The Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation (VPDF) under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations held a ceremony in Hanoi on April 8 to celebrate its 20th anniversary (April 9, 2003-2023) and received the first-class Labour Order.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan spoke highly of the VPDF for its meaningful and practical contributions to people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to the common achievements of Vietnam's diplomacy, thereby effectively implementing the foreign policy of the Party and State in all stages of the country's development.

Notably, the outstanding contributions made by the VPDF in participating in the protection of the national interests, and active contributions to the world people's movement, through various initiatives, activities, forums, bilateral and multilateral people-to-people cooperation mechanisms, as well as effectively deploying research, policy advice and performing external service tasks.

The VP emphasised that the VPDF has contributed to strengthening friendship and cooperation, promoting the support of international friends for the cause of national renewal, building and developing the country, promoting and protecting the national interests; actively contributing to the common efforts of mankind for a world of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

She suggested that the VPDF continue to participate and contribute to resolving conflicts and disputes in the region and the world, through peaceful solutions and international law; join hands to support victims and subjects affected by armed conflicts, natural disasters, epidemics, and post-COVID-19 economic decline, to strive for a safe and prosperous life.
