Accordingly, both sides have pledged to coordinate and support each other in regional and international football-related activities; share experience and exchange human resources in service of football development; and send football experts to participate in seminars, forums and training courses in each country.
In addition, the two sides have also agreed to field experienced trainers to teach or support teaching at the national football academy model, while exchanging experience in the field of football management and the relevant legal issues, as well as sharing knowledge on science and technology in sports medicine, and information on rehabilitation methods via physical training.
Speaking at the event, VFF President Le Hung Dung stated that the Vietnam-RoK football relationship has recorded significant developments, specifically manifested through football exchanges, coordination in the training work of football teams, and the introduction of qualified experts between the two sides.
Especially, RoK trainer Park Hang-seo, the current head coach of Vietnam men’s national football squad, together with assistants Lee Young Jin and Bae Ji Won, contributed significantly to Vietnam U23’s miraculous silver medal at the recent AFC U23 Championship 2018 in China, he said.
Dung expressed his belief that the results achieved from the newly signed MoU would help to boost the relations between the VFF and the KFA in a more extensive, substantive and effective fashion.
Voicing his pleasure at the close ties between the two countries and their football governing agencies, KFA President Chung Mong-gyu affirmed that the signing of the MoU would contribute to accelerating the Vietnam-RoK relationships in terms of human resources, youth training, and other football-related issues.
He said he believed that Vietnamese football would reach the Asian level and become a football power in the world, stressing the KFA’s wish to be part of that process.
