On this occasion, the two ministers planted a tree and visited a friendship garden cultivated by the youth from both countries’ armed forces in the border area, symbolising the younger generation’s commitment to preserving and promoting the longstanding tradition of Vietnam–China solidarity and friendship.
During their visit to Dong Dang Primary School, the two defence ministers attended the inauguration of a new multi-purpose building consisting of 12 rooms, including a computer lab, gifted by Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence.
The 9th Vietnam–China Border Defence Friendship Exchange coincides with the 75th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 – 2025) and the Year of Vietnam - China Humanistic Exchange 2025.
