VN-Index declines

VN-Index dropped 0.57% to 1,238.39 points on September 13. It closed 7 points lower after increasing nearly 22 points on September 12.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) surged 29% to 29.76 trillion VND (1.23 billion USD).

Nine blue chips gained. Notably, MWG of electronics retail chain Mobile World rose 3% and VIB of Vietnam International Commercial Bank advanced 2.9%.

Foreign investors were net sellers to the tune of 1.2 trillion VND, mainly selling HPG of Hoa Phat Group and STB of Sacombank.

The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange fell 0.08% while the UPCoM-Index decreased 0.10%.
