The index closed 3.12 points higher after gaining 0.80 points in the previous session.
Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange fell by 3% to 13.95 trillion VND (570.44 million USD).
The VN-30 basket witnessed 13 tickers gained and 16 fell.
Foreign investors were net sellers to the tune of 284 billion VND, mainly selling HPG of Hoa Phat Group and MWG of Mobile World.
The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange went up 0.26% while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market fell by 0.2%.
