The department noted that the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and the MPS reached consensus on launching the e-funeral book on VNeID.

This service helps users with Level-2 accounts send condolences, express gratitude to, or share memories about the late leader.

So far, the MPS has approved more than 72 million VNeID accounts and provided a number of services for people and businesses on this app, which not only helps with reforming administrative procedures and boosting online public services but also enables users to give their opinions to Party and State leaders.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong breathed his last on July 19 at the age of 80.

The funeral for the late leader will be held in the national mourning etiquette at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi on July 25 and 26. The respect-paying and memorial ceremonies will take place at the same time at the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and his hometown in Dong Hoi commune of Hanoi’s Dong Anh district.
