The remark was made by Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man at the opening ceremony for the new school year (2022-2023) held at the university's new campus in Hoa Lac on October 23.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; Permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong; Politburo member cum Secretary of the Party Committee of Hanoi Dinh Tien Dung; and Secretary of the Party Central Committee cum Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia sent a congratulatory flower basket.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, on behalf of leaders of the Party and State, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated and congratulated the excellent achievements that the staff, lecturers and students have achieved in recent years.
He also highly appreciated the dedication, sacrifice, enthusiasm and wisdom of generations of leaders, officials and lecturers of the VNU through the ages.

Tran Thanh Man also shared his wish that teachers and students will continue to strongly innovate teaching and learning methods in order to promote positivity, initiative and creativity among students, enhance practical skills, and apply knowledge to solve practical problems.
He also requested the Ministry of Education and Training, relevant ministries; Hanoi's leaders need to continue to pay attention to and coordinate in solving related issues in the complete construction of the Vietnam National University - Hanoi urban campus, as well as ensuring security and safety for students.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly strongly believes that VNU will continue to inherit, promote and develop sustainably the results; as well as meet the new and higher and more difficult requirements of the country, in order to be worthy of the tradition, trust and requirements of the Party and State, actively contributing to the construction and protection of the country.
