The event is part of activities to mark the 420th anniversary of Quang Binh’s formation (1604-2024), the 75th anniversary of Quang Binh's uprising (July 15, 1949-2024) and the 35th anniversary of Quang Binh’s re-establishment (July 1, 1989-2024).

This year’s tournament featured ten teams from Quang Binh, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Tri, Vinh Phuc, Da Nang, Hai Duong, Binh Thuan, Quang Nam, Hanoi and Thai Nguyen.
The racers compete for 18 sets of medals for men, women and mixed categories at different distances of 1,000 metres, 500 metres and 200 metres.

The organisation was also carried out thoughtfully, contributing to leaving good impressions of the land and people of Quang Binh in general and Quang Binh sports in particular among visitors and athletes.
This morning, the racing teams competed in the 500-metre distance events with thrilling and exciting competitions under enthusiastic and vibrant cheers from local people and tourists.
