Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy stated that the awards are organised biennially to honour journalists who have made outstanding contributions to information dissemination activities that raise community awareness on natural resource management and environmental protection.

Over its seven editions, the awards have become prestigious event, attracting the attention of journalists, reporters, editors, and media agencies nationwide.

This year’s event received 940 entries across four forms of journalism — printed newspapers, radio, television, and online newspapers — from more than 300 individuals and groups across the country.

The entries covered diverse topics related to resource management and environmental issues of public interest. They included well-researched multi-part pieces showcasing a variety of media outlets from central to local levels.

At the ceremony, the organising board presented one first, three second, and five third prizes in each category.
