On the evening of February 16, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour held the first national conference to honour outstanding workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 2025, marking the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-2025).
Speaking at the programme, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the initiative to organise this meaningful and practical activity of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; thereby affirming the responsibility of the Trade Union in participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system.
He suggested focus on training and fostering to improve the political capacity, qualifications, professional skills, and legal awareness of union members and workers; proactively improve the effectiveness of education, source creation, training, and introduction of union members and workers to join the Party.
Developing union members and establishing grassroots unions provides the premise for building and developing party organisations in enterprises, he noted. 95 outstanding workers who are party members were recognised as advanced examples among the party members and workers nationwide, showing exemplary standards in work and all activities, with proposals, initiatives, and innovative and effective solutions in production and Party building at the grassroots level; trusted and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, professional management level, and trade unions.
