The event was hosted by the Vietnam ICT Press Club under the Vietnam Journalists’ Association to mark the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2024).
According to journalist Le Bao Trung from Dan Tri newspaper, head of the event’s organising committee, the tournament aims to spread the spirit of sportsmanship and promote a healthy lifestyle among journalists and reporters.
The runners competed in the 5km, 10km and 21.6km events, with the distance of 21.6 km representing June 21 – the traditional day of Vietnamese journalists.
This year’s event attracted enthusiastic participation from Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper journalists, with Le Bao Trung and Do Nhu Yen winning in the men’s 5km and women’s 10km categories, respectively.
