Opening the event, Thai Ambassador to Mexico and rotating chair of the ASEAN Committee in Mexico, Surasak Chuasukonthip, highlighted the significance of activities among ASEAN members, particularly after the formal establishment of the ASEAN Community on December 31, 2015.
He urged ASEAN diplomatic missions in Mexico to continue in assisting each other to promote the ASEAN spirit in all fields.

The Indonesian Embassy organised a stunning aerobics performance, while Vietnamese dishes of fried spring rolls, stir-fried vermicelli and shrimp were thoroughly enjoyed by those present.
The ASEAN Family Day was the second joint activity hosted by the embassies in Mexico of ASEAN member countries this year. Earlier, they organised a trip to promote ASEAN tourism and business in the states of Jalisco and Colima in western Mexico.
