On the occasion of the first-ever Banh Mi (Bread) Festival, Booking.com has shared a list of 6 places associated with outstanding examples of banh mi that visitors cannot ignore. They are Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

A Vietnamese “banh mi” festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from March 30 – April 2, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association.

'Pho' (noodle soup), 'banh mi' (Vietnamese sandwich), 'Ca kho to' (Vietnamese fish braised in a clay pot), 'Lau ca tam' (sturgeon fish hot pot) and black coffee, along with several other dishes, have been listed by the world-famous culinary website TasteAtlas, among popular foods in the world in 2023.

A workshop took place on October 11 in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss the journey of the banh mi, a kind of Vietnamese sandwich, from culinary cultural exchange to the value of a national brand.
