General Phan Van Giang affirmed that Vietnam always adheres to the foreign policy of peace, friendship, cooperation, development, and building a strong enough national defence to firmly protect the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests of the nation, while at the same time fulfilling its noble international responsibilities and obligations.
The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence advocates developing a modern, proactive, self-reliant, dual-use, and internationally integrated defence industry and wishes to contribute to peace, prosperity, and common development cooperation in the region and the world.
Affirming the significance of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024, General Phan Van Giang said that the event not only contributes to strengthening cooperation in the defence industry between Vietnam and other countries, but also creates conditions for countries to meet and exchange with each other, thus contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and trust while promoting cooperation in the defence field.
Through defence industry cooperation, countries are expected to improve their defence capacity, together address common security challenges in accordance with the basic principles of international law.
