The event came within the SCCCI’s working trip in Vietnam to learn about the Vietnamese market and look for investment opportunities in Vietnamese localities.
According to Binh Duong authorities, Singapore has poured 5.4 billion USD into 278 projects in Binh Duong, ranking third among 65 countries and territories investing in the Vietnamese province.
Director of the Binh Duong Department of Planning and Investment Pham Trong Nhan said the province is working to restructure its industrial network, upgrade existing industrial parks and improve regional transport links to offer new opportunities to investors.
Highly appreciating the investment environment in Binh Duong, SCCCI President Kho Choon Keng emphasised that the conference would open more opportunities for Singaporean companies to search for partners and expand business in the province.
For his part, Binh Duong Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Danh expressed his confidence that through the conference, the two sides’ enterprises would step up cooperation in industry, trade and services to become reliable and sustainable partners in the future.
He also affirmed that the province always creates a transparent and attractive environment for enterprises, including Singaporean investors, to do their business.
The SCCCI is a major business association in Singapore, with a membership of about 5,000 enterprises across a wide range of sectors.
