Nearly 100 enterprises’ products recognised as National brands in 2018

Ninety-seven enterprises have had products recognised as National brands in 2018, an increase of nine enterprises compared to 2016.

The information was announced at a press conference to announce the enterprises to have obtained national brand products in 2018, held by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi, on December 12.

According to Vu Ba Phu, Director of Vietrade, after launching the programme, more than 1,500 enterprises directly registered or were introduced by ministries and branches to the programme.

More than 500 qualified businesses were selected by the Secretariat and functional agencies for further verification, evaluation and field surveys.

After evaluation, the members of the Council on National Brands, Minister of Industry and Trade, and the Chairman of the Council on National Brand issued a decision on the list of enterprises to have national branded products in 2018.

The ceremony, announcing the National brand products in 2018, will be held at 7pm on December 20, 2018, at Hanoi Opera House, No. 1 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem District, in Hanoi.

The Vietnam National Brand Programme was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 253/2003/QĐ-TTg dated November 25, 2003. It is the only Vietnamese programme to promote thee national image and brand through product brands, including goods and services.
