The power line has a total investment of over 11.9 trillion VND (509.5 million USD).

The project built nearly 742km of dual-circuit 500kv transmission lines running through nine provinces and cities.

This is one of the important national power transmission line projects commenced in December 2018 by the National Power Transmission Corporation and the Central Vietnam Power Projects Management Board.

The project contributes to strengthening the transmission capacity of the 500kV line of the national power system, releasing the capacity of thermal power and renewable energy sources in the region and ensuring electricity supply for Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Da Nang and surrounding provinces.
