The PM congratulated Warburg Pincus on reaching financial investment deals with VinaCapital Fund and affirmed that Vietnam desires major foreign investors to become strategic partners in equitised firms in the country.

The Vietnamese business environment keeps improving while the macro-economy and socio-political environment has remained stable, he said.

The Vietnamese government sets drastic reforms in various fields, especially in State-owned enterprises, he said, adding that during the process, the government, ministries and agencies always listen to opinions from businesses to continue improving business climate.

Geithner expressed his optimism concerning Vietnam’s economic prospect and growth potential in the near future.

He said it is the right time for Warburg Pincus to increase investment in Vietnam due to the fact that the government is stepping up economic and administrative reform, thus making it easier for foreign investors to expand operations in the country.
