It was among the issues for discussion at the meeting, which is preparing for the submission to the upcoming 14th NA’s fifth sitting, scheduled to take place from May 21 to June 18.
In his opening speech, NA Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu said that the conference is important, showing the responsibility and intelligence of NA deputies in helping to improve the quality of the projected laws, especially the new ones, including the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units and the Law on Network Security being discussed at the meeting.
As they are two new and important bills, which draw great attention from NA deputies and voters across the nation, NA Deputy Chairman Luu requested legislators to discuss and finalise the draft laws before the next NA session approves them.

Discussing the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units, delegates focused on special mechanisms and policies on business investment, budget and investment incentives, and the organisation and operation of local administrations and other State agencies at the special units.
They praised the draft document as it has been adopted on the principle of ensuring superiority in international competitiveness and within the framework of the Constitution, while meeting the requirements of creating a new development model for special administrative-economic units.
The draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units, after being revised, includes six chapters and 88 articles. Its full name is "Van Don, Bac Van Phong, Phu Quoc Special Administrative - Economic Unit Law," featuring the three established special units.
