In his remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia, Le Quy Quynh, voiced his hope that the conference would provide Vietnamese companies with an overview of the regional integration process, which is proceeding in an increasingly extensive fashion across various fields, and thereby take the relevant measures to fully tap into the huge cooperation potential between Vietnam and Malaysia.

At the event, representatives from a number of Vietnamese and Malaysian firms shared their experience in building and developing businesses, especially the difficulties and challenges that are being faced by the business community.

Regional integration is a driving force for the companies’ development, they said, noting that the process, however, also poses multiple challenges that require support from the functional agencies.

According to the organising committee, the conference offered a platform for Vietnamese businesses to seek cooperation opportunities and survey the international market in the ASEAN countries, immediately Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, thence designing appropriate operational strategies in the future.

In addition, cultural exchange activities imbued with national identities were organised within the framework of the programme, contributing to enhancing the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and the ASEAN member nations.
