The move is an effort to reform administrative procedures and facilitate trade activities.
The services provided on the portal include issuing, re-issuing and renewing car import licenses; issuing, re-issuing, renewing and modifying export-import rights certificates of foreign traders without presence in Vietnam.
The Department of Export-Import under the MOIT stated that paper documents will not be accepted for the above-mentioned procedures from November onwards.
The services are available on the MOIT portal at http://online.moit.gov.vn.
