The four-day event was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Industry and Trade and Thailand’s BJC retail group.

It is one of the trade promotion activities of Ho Chi Minh City to help Vietnamese businesses to promote products and brands in Thailand as well as seek potential international partners and expand markets.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Hai Bang said the event created an opportunity for Vietnamese firms to promote their goods in Thailand.

It also enabled Thai customers to experience high-quality products from Vietnam, he added.

He affirmed that the embassy is willing to connect businesses of the two countries in promoting trade and investment, and establishing partnership.

This is the second time a promotion event for Vietnamese goods has been held in Bangkok this year. Earlier, the Vietnamese goods programme in Thailand took place at the Central World shopping complex on September 18-22 with the participation of nearly 50 Vietnamese companies.
