Ministry of Planning and Investment abolishes 58 administrative procedures

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has issued a decision to announce new administrative procedures and abolish a number of procedures in the area of investment under the competence of the ministry.

Under the decision, 55 new administrative procedures were announced while 58 others were removed.

The list of eliminated administrative procedures includes 56 investment procedures stated in Decision No.1038 dated July 28, 2017, and two procedures stated in Decision No.814 dated May 25, 2020.

These procedures relate to investment policies of People’s Committee at the provincial level, the Government and the National Assembly regarding projects not subject to the issuance of investment certification; the order and process for investment policies of golf course projects under the Prime Minister's competence; and others.

In addition, 55 new investment procedures were announced including 10 administrative procedures at the central level and 45 procedures at the provincial level (22 procedures implemented by Departments of Planning and Investments and 23 procedures conducted by management boards of industrial parks and economic zones).
