The events are among 18 major activities being held within the framework of the 18th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival.
Themed ‘History of the world’s coffee industry’, the first exhibition displays photos and objects telling the development of the development of the coffee industry over the past 12 centuries.
Meanwhile, the second exhibition introduces the public to a selection of 76 photos on Vietnamese coffee and the way Vietnamese people enjoy coffee.
The photos were selected from the more than 1,100 submissions by over 170 entrants to a contest that ran from November 23, 2022, to February 21, 2023, with the aim to honour the brand of Vietnamese coffee.
In addition to admire photos and objects on display, visitors to the exhibition can also enjoy free coffee and gong performances, and explore the traditional cultural rituals of ethnic groups in Dak Lak Province, such as the wedding ceremony of the E De people and the water festival of the Lao ethnic community.
