At the event, the delegates presented their reports and submitted their proposals on industrial development, trade promotion, e-commerce, digital translation, renewable energy, power transmissions and other issues to the MOIT.
Speaking at the conference, MOIT Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai said the ministry will accompany localities and address as many difficulties facing them as possible.
He asked local authorities to soon implement measures to facilitate the development of industry and trade and invite enterprises to take part in trade fairs and supply-demand connecting events, to promote regional linkage.
The provinces and cities throughout the region aim to have their retail and consumer services revenue in 2022 increase by 11.5% and exports by 6.7%.
To fulfil such targets, local departments of industry and trade will continue implementing the government’s resolutions on post-pandemic economic recovery, promote public investment disbursement and call for more investment in industrial parks.
In the first six months of 2022, industrial activity in the region continued its recovery momentum, with the value of industrial production up 12.5% over the same period last year.
