Despite torrential rain at Hang Day Stadium, the police side began the match with confidence and constantly applied pressure on the visitors’ goal.
In the 12th minute, Le Van Do burst down the right flank before delivering a dangerous cross for Alan, whose first-time effort struck the post, to the frustration of the home players.
Just minutes later, Cong An Ha Noi created another dangerous chance. Following a combination with Dinh Bac, Van Do whipped in another threatening cross that caused confusion in Thanh Hoa’s defence. However, the ball drifted narrowly wide of the post.
The home side continued to pile on the pressure, though luck still eluded them. In the 17th minute, Leo Artur unleashed a powerful long-range strike towards the near corner, leaving goalkeeper Y Eli Nie helpless, only for the ball to rebound off the post once again.
In the 29th minute, Quang Hai nearly produced a moment of brilliance with a superb free-kick. The Thanh Hoa goalkeeper could only watch as the ball rattled the crossbar.
After the break, Cong An Ha Noi continued to dominate proceedings. Thanh Hoa were forced deep into defence and repeatedly committed fouls in an attempt to halt the hosts’ attacking moves.
The visitors’ difficulties worsened in the 59th minute when Ngoc Ha received his second yellow card, reducing Thanh Hoa to just ten men.
In the 64th minute, Leo Artur managed to put the ball into the net from close range, however the goal was ruled out after Alan had been caught offside in the build-up.
Nevertheless, Cong An Ha Noi’s relentless pressure finally paid off in the closing stages. In the 87th minute, after a VAR review confirmed a foul by a Thanh Hoa player inside the penalty area, the referee awarded the hosts a penalty.
From the spot, Alan calmly fired a precise shot past Y Eli Nie into the corner to give Cong An Ha Noi a 1-0 lead and finally break the deadlock.
The home side were not finished yet. Deep into stoppage time, Rogerio Alves produced a brilliant solo run before finishing emphatically to seal a 2-0 victory for the Ha Noi side.
The result officially secured the 2025/2026 V-League title for Cong An Ha Noi with three matches remaining as they opened an 11-point gap over second-placed The Cong Viettel.
Although they have already secured the championship, the police club still have another target in sight: breaking the V-League points record.
Cong An Ha Noi are currently on course to surpass the 64-point mark set by Ha Noi FC during the 2018 season.
