Congratulations extended to Lao armed forces on New Year Bunpimay Festival

A delegation of the Steering Committee for Border Work in the central province of Thua Thien Hue, led by Head of the Steering Committee and Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, visited and extended best wishes to the armed forces units performing their duties in the border area adjacent to Thua Thien Hue Province in the two provinces of Sekong and Salavan (Laos) on April 6.

The visit was made on the occasion of the New Year Bunpimay Festival of Laos.

Leaders of Thua Thien Hue Province present gifts to Ta Vang Police Station, Salavan Province (Laos).

While visiting the Co Tai and Ta Vang police stations and Border Protection Companies 531 and 511 in Sekong Province and Salavan Province, Phuong affirmed that the effective coordination between the armed forces of the provinces of Sekong and Salavan (Laos) and the Border Guard forces has made significant contributions to border management and protection as well as stability and order in border areas for peace, friendship, cooperation and sustainable development.

On the occasion, leaders of Thua Thien Hue Province presented gifts including necessities and medical supplies to the armed forces units, functional forces and people of Laos.

In addition, the Border Guard Command of Thua Thien Hue Province and Border Guard posts also visited and presented gifts to the armed forces and people of adjacent villages in the provinces of Sekong and Salavan, thereby contributing to fostering solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding between the armed forces and the peoples of the two countries.
