Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s visit to Quang Tri through the lens of photographer Si So

Nhan Dan Newspaper introduces readers to documentary photos of Cuban President Fidel Castro during his visit to the newly liberated region in central Quang Tri Province on September 15, 1973. The pictures were taken by photographer Ho Si So, who was in charge of photography at the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Culture and Information at that time.

Si So was born in 1942 in Dong Thanh Ward, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. He is member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the International Federation of Photographic Art.

His photos on the Cuban leader’s visit to Quang Tri are introduced in Si So’s photobook entitled ‘Fidel Castro in Quang Tri: A historical day in 1973’.
