Thousands of Ho Chi Minh City residents streamed to the Ben Thanh Station on the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien Line to ride the city’s first metro line, which officially opened on December 22 after years of delay.
According to the operator, the line’s 14 stations would not open until 10am but, many gathered at the entrances to Ben Thanh Station from the early morning to wait for the launch of the service.
