Ho Chi Minh City stood atop the podium with two gold, two silver and three bronze medals, followed by runners-up Binh Duong with one gold, one silver and one bronze, and third-place Da Nang with one gold and two bronze medals.

This year’s event drew the participation of nearly 400 cueists from 15 cities and provinces across the country, competing for medals in the men’s one and three cushion carom, eight and nine ball pool and English billiards categories.

The top 16 players in each discipline qualified to compete in the final round scheduled to take place in southern Binh Duong province this June.

The annual championships, which began on March 12-19, provided a good chance to select outstanding players for the national team in preparation for the upcoming 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar later this year.
