The event was jointly held by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, the municipal Department of Transport, the Vietnam – Netherlands Friendship Association, and the Dutch Cycling Embassy.

It attracted the participation of many Dutch people living in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as leaders of the city’s departments and sectors.

The participants cycled through many streets in the city centre, contributing to conveying the message of protecting the environment and fostering green development.

Previously on April 5, a workshop entitled ‘ThinkBike Sustainable Development’, was held to share knowledge, experiences, and stories about cycling with university students.

The panel discussion was supported by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), to spread the message about cycling to more students.

At the event, the UEH students learnt about the cycling culture in the Netherlands, the benefits of cycling, and the history of building cycling infrastructure in the Netherlands.
