Secretary Quang thanked the Indian Government and Embassy for their support in hosting the enshrinement of the Buddha's relics in Da Nang, a key highlight of the 2025 UN Day of Vesak celebrations. He praised the Indian Embassy’s consistent efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation.

With Da Nang set to officially merge with Quang Nam from July 1, 2025, Quang urged India to introduce potential investors to explore opportunities in the city. He highlighted Da Nang’s readiness for international cooperation, particularly in developing its upcoming international financial centre. The Indian IFSCA model in GIFT City was cited as a potential source of expertise and collaboration.

Cultural cooperation also remains a priority. Secretary Quang expressed hopes to deepen joint efforts in preserving Cham heritage, including restoration projects at My Son Sanctuary and the Dong Duong Buddhist complex. He also proposed broader partnerships in education and cultural exchange.

Ambassador Arya welcomed Da Nang’s openness and reiterated India’s commitment to strengthening ties. He noted the success of various Indian cultural events held in Da Nang, such as the International Day of Yoga and Indian Film Festival, and supported the city’s initiatives to preserve Cham culture.

He also backed proposals for a sister-city partnership and called for more direct flights between Da Nang and Indian cities to boost tourism and business links. Currently, there are seven Indian-invested FDI projects in Da Nang, with total registered capital of 460,000 USD. Notably, Adani Group has expressed interest in investing over 2 billion USD in Lien Chieu Port.
