Politburo member and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Nguyen Xuan Thang, made the statement while working with Dak Nong Provincial leaders on January 19.
Addressing the working session, Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang expressed his pleasure at the great results that the Party, authorities and people of the Central Highland Province of Dak Nong have gained over the past years.
Thanks to great determination and efforts by Party committees and authorities at all levels and local people, Dak Nong Province has recorded a strong and comprehensive development and locals’ lives have witnessed significant changes, especially the ethnic minority groups, he added.
The Politburo member also asked the province to continue to uphold the spirit of creativity and promote practical experience to build a strong national solidarity bloc, as well as join hands to successfully implement the goals set out in the Resolution of the 12th Dak Nong Provincial Party Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
Dak Nong should focus investment in deep processing to stimulate consumption of agricultural and forestry products and products of their strength, as well as in transport infrastructure and building cultural facilities towards attracting major investors, said Party official Thang.
Dak Nong has a very important strategic position in terms of national security and defence, so the locality must pay special attention to Party and political system building right from the grassroots, he added.
He also urged the provincial leaders to attach importance to the work of training and fostering cadres and civil servants.

On the same day, Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang visited and gave gifts to officers and soldiers of Thuan An Border Guard Station in Thuan An Commune of Dak Mil District and workers in difficult circumstances at Nhan Co Aluminium Factory (Dak Nong Aluminum Company – TKV) in Nhan Co Commune (Dak R'Lap District). He also visited and presented 400 gifts and two solidarity houses worth 500 million VND to poor households, policy families and workers in difficult circumstances in Gia Nghia City.
