Dak R'Tih power plant first turbine begins operation

Nhan Dan - The first turbine at the Dak R'Tih hydro-electric power plant was officially connected to the national grid after a 72-hour idle run.

This is one of four turbines at the plant, with a total capacity of 144 MW, that will be put into operation over the next 45 days.

The VND 4 trillion (US$192 million) plant is invested by Construction Corporation No.1, under the Ministry of Construction, in Gia Nghia town, Dak R’Lap district, in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong.

When the remaining three turbines are put into full operation, the plant will generate 614.1 million kWh of electricity annually on the national grid.
