Due to the high demand for travel during the five-day holiday, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has planned to serve and increase vehicles to proactively meet travel needs. Accordingly, on average, the airport is expected to handle 740 flights daily during this period, an increase of approximately 10% compared to the current schedule, mainly domestic routes.
Accordingly, the total number of passengers expected to reach around 122,000 per day during the peak period, an increase of roughly 9% compared to the current number of passengers (112,000 passengers/day). On the peak days of May 2 and May 4, the airport is expected to welcome 126,000 passengers per day.
A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that, VietJet Air is still operating at terminal T1 while Vietnam Airlines’ flights to Hanoi and Van Don now check in at Terminal T3 at gates D4, D5, and D6 from April 19. Other flights by Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO remain at T1.
Passengers can use free shuttle buses between Terminals T1, T2, and T3. In addition, youth volunteers will assist travellers during peak hours (from 5am to 9am) from April 29 to May 4.
