Deputy PM urges for construction of smart border gates in Lang Son

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc held a working session on September 22 with the northern mountainous province of Lang Son on the implementation of a pilot project to build smart border gates.

On August 17, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 865/QD-TTg approving the pilot project to build smart border gates on the dedicated road for transporting goods in the area of ​​landmarks 1119-1120 and the dedicated road for transporting goods in the area of ​​landmarks 1088/2-1089.

At the working session, the leaders of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee proposed and recommended to the working delegation such as: proposing the Government to consider and balance funding from the central budget for the province to implement the project; requesting ministries and branches to promptly guide Lang Son Province on the implementation of processes and procedures related to the construction and pilot operation of smart border gates; and supporting the province to resolve difficulties and problems during the implementation process.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc noted that Lang Son Province must promptly adjust the detailed planning of Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, in which the influencing factors must be carefully calculated and submitted to competent authorities for approval.

They must also establish feasible projects, especially auxiliary works and works to expand specialised routes for transporting import and export goods.
