Following more than two years of stagnation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnamese tourism has made an impressive comeback in 2022, with 96.3 million domestic tourists in 11 months, far exceeding all forecasts.
The number of domestic flight passengers recorded a strong recovery and breakthrough following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) . During the peak of the summer of 2022, the number of passengers increased markedly compared to 2019 , such as 40% in June, 42% in July and 40% in August.
Despite the fluctuations of the world petroleum market , as well as political instability due to the Russia-Ukraine tension, Vietnam's tourism market has continue d to recover strongly, especially with the remarkable growth of domestic tourism.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on April 20 asked ministries, sectors, agencies, localities, and businesses to make forecasts on the situation and prepare response plans to ensure sufficient power supply for production and daily activities under any circumstances.
