Jointly organised by the Viet Nam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Lai Chau Provincial People’s Committee, the two-day event aims to boost regional integration, promote digital trade, and raise the profile of the region's distinctive products.

Northern midland and mountainous provinces are home to many unique agricultural and cultural products, such as Lai Chau ginseng, Shan Tuyet tea, Seng Cu rice, mint honey, and traditional brocade crafts. These products reflect the rich cultural identity of ethnic communities and hold significant market potential.

E-commerce is viewed as a vital tool to unlock this potential, serving as a powerful link connecting regional producers with national and global consumers. The event features seminars and conferences with e-commerce and digital experts, a 50-booth exhibition showcasing local products and digital technologies, and a nationwide “Mega Livestream” sales session on TikTok Shop.

A key highlight is hands-on training for cooperatives, young entrepreneurs, and household businesses on content creation, livestream scripting, shop setup, and digital sales operations.

The event also integrates local cultural and tourism experiences with digital transformation activities in e-commerce. A memorandum of understanding was signed between regional authorities and e-commerce service providers to promote ongoing cooperation.

Additionally, training sessions were held at Lai Chau's Cultural Conference Centre to enhance local participants’ skills in digital sales and livestream commerce, empowering them to effectively reach wider markets through online platforms.
