The event is organised by the British Council Vietnam to provide Vietnamese parents and students with opportunities to find information on diverse undergraduate, postgraduate and pathway programmes, as well as information about 60 scholarship programmes. Domestic programmes leading to UK-accredited degrees will also be exhibited.
The highlight of this year’s event is the UK Corner, which will feature “Living Books” (Vietnamese alumni and students currently studying in the UK), IELTS high scorers and a UK-themed musical. They have been invited to the exhibition to share their experiences with future UK-bound students and provide inspiration to those who plan to look for employment in the UK after graduation.
Chris Brown, Country Director for British Council Vietnam said: “2013 marks the British Council’s 20 year anniversary in Vietnam, so I am delighted to see the record number of 68 institutions joining this year Education UK Exhibition, reflecting the high interest of UK institutions in strengthening links in Vietnam”.
In 2012, a report commissioned by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills showed that 88% of international students were satisfied with their experience studying in the UK. There are currently 8,000 Vietnamese students in the UK.
The exhibition will be held at the Melia Hotel in Hanoi, the Intercontinental Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and the Novotel Hotel in Da Nang.
