Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Committee for Culture and Education, and Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, presented certificates of merit and commemorative medals to outstanding valedictorians at the ceremony.
The Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee held a ceremony in Hanoi on the evening of October 3 to honour outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies based in Hanoi in 2024.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Party Central Committee (PCC): Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Committee for Culture and Education, and Pham Tat Thang, permanent vice-chairman of the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation, as well as representatives of ministries, departments, and branches of the Central Government and the Capital.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, affirmed that in recent years, the capital has always paid attention to nurturing and promoting young talents and high-quality human resources.

Congratulating the 100 valedictorians honoured this year, the deputy secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee asked the young people to be confident and steadfast in realising their dreams and ambitions, inheriting and promoting the fine traditions of the nation and Thang Long-Hanoi, becoming shining examples for the youth and children of the Capital.
Taking place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the programme features four main activities: a discussion with experts and excellent valedictorians on the city's policies and guidelines in attracting and using high-quality human resources; an incense offering ceremony at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; a ceremony to sign the outstanding valedictorians' names in a golden book at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature); and a ceremony to honour the 100 excellent valedictorians.
